About the George Mamalakis Trio

The George Mamalakis Trio has been a cornerstone of the Santa Barbara jazz scene since the mid-1990s. Led by pianist George Mamalakis—who studied under the legendary LA jazz pianist Terry Trotter—the trio is known for their sophisticated interpretation of jazz standards with influences from Keith Jarrett, Bill Evans, and Chick Corea.

Before their current residency at The Harbor Restaurant SB, the trio held a remarkable 22-year continuous Wednesday night residency at Stella Mare’s Bistro—a testament to their enduring appeal and musical excellence. Their decades-long musical association creates a tight chemistry that audiences immediately recognize and appreciate.
